Looking back on this year it seems quite busy. Charlie re-finished the outside of the Ipcar & Zorach Cottage, and it's now looking pretty sharp again; we also had one of Dahlov's propane space heaters installed in the kitchen which makes the cottage much more comfortable for spring and fall. Charlie also coordinated three Open House events at Robinhood Farm; they were a great chance for us to spend time with people interested in Dahlov's artwork, and the proceeds from the print sales help support the expenses at the Farm.

Charlie was very busy with music events this year. He did workshops at the New England Folk Festival in the spring, a symposium presentation at the Mystic Sea Music Festival in June, performances at the Portsmouth Maritime Folk Festival in late September, concerts with Roll & Go, and sharing songs at a new monthly Pub & Chantey Sing in Portland. Charlie and Friends of Dahlov Ipcar also presented the 5th production of "Dahlov's Favorite Folk Songs & Ballads" at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Brunswick. Finally, Charlie and Judy produced his 7th CD: Steamboat & Roustabout Songs. Judy was able to attend almost all of these, playing audience and photographer – she's enjoying the scheduling freedom retirement brings!

Judy is remains very much involved with her volunteer work at Hancock Wildlife Foundation, which has eagle cams on several nests in British Columbia. It's still magical to watch tiny chicks break out of eggs – and see them flying 12 weeks later! Our cat Chelsea Girl doesn't seem interested in eaglets on the computer – but she watches the robins that nest in the tree outside our bedroom window quite intently.

We also got the Boston Whaler in the water and again enjoyed visiting our favorite osprey nests, and boating among the islands and coves with friends and relatives. This year we decided to keep the boat at the Marina in Robinhood, and not worry so much about the 12-foot tides at the Zorach Landing (not to mention climbing up and down the ladder!).

Here are a few pictures from Hancock Wildlife Foundation's Surrey Reserve nest cam in BC (Judy here - can you see why I find these cams so amazing?); the youngsters left to make their way in the world as independent young eagles about a week after the third picture.

Judy at NEFFA
This was Judy's first time at the New England Folk Festival - the April date always conflicted with her busy time at work. What an amazing variety of music and lots of singing along on the choruses!
